3-13-12 QUICKUPDATE
Posted by Vincente E. Woodward on Tuesday, March 13, 2012
I have been busy in the extreme during the past several weeks.
I have had no time to do anyting other than business.
Lots of paperwork and signatures and meetings, on top of my regular corporate meetings, etc.
I am trying to get out of town as quickly as possible.
Right now everything is dependent upon some paperwork which will get to the eastern U.S. tomorrow or the next morning.
As soon as these papers are completed on the other end, I will be leaving U.S.
I do not know whether that will take hours or days.
As soon as I do know I will be booking a flight to Kloten International Airport (Zurich) and will start there on another of my very merry adventures in search of who knows what?
I do!
But, only I do.
Which makes it a nightmare for me and fun, most of the time for those who get to watch up close.
Especially when I occasionally completely wipe out.
I do not understand why that is the favorite of so many of my closer friends and companions.
It must be ENVY, I am sure.
Isn't that one of the seven deadly sins?
Well, anyway, as the hours go forward I will be less and less able to write or do anything other than get ready to leave.
I am looking forward to this, in order to gain some much needed wider perspective on just what is going on in my life at this time.
There is nothing like the Swiss Alps, the Tyrolian Alps, and the Bavarian Alps to clear out your head and restore your perspective.
I am hoping that a side trip to the Altmuhl Valley might be in order.
That is in Bavaria and is where the only Archaeopteryx fossils are found and numerous Pterodactyls.
I have been there and can testify.
The quarries there are truly unbelievable and pumping out hundreds of fossils, one after another, all day long.
And there is a very secret little museum hidden away with a collection of fossils which is simply second to none.
Lots of Peterodactyls.
You almost feel like you've known a few of them.
Also, a side trip back to Geneva is very much in order.
I met some very nice choral people at St. Peter's Cathedral (Jean Calvins' church) several months ago and would like to go back and get to know some of them better.
Should be interesting.
We'll see.
Who knows, I may toss aside all of these ideas and do something I didn't even think of until I was over there.
It would be far from the first time that has happened.
Here's hoping for the best.
I will try not to go totally silent during next several weeks.
But, may be forced to by circumstances on the road.
If so, don't be surprised.
I shall resurface soon.
