9-5-12 MORE DELPHI PHOTOS POSTED
Posted by Vincente E. Woodward on Wednesday, September 5, 2012
I was on the road through the weekend.
Nevertheless, I was able to find a portal from which to post more photos of Delphi.
There are currently 47 photos of Delphi and 15 of the tholos.
The Delphi photos, so far, take you about 2/3 of the way up the mountain paths.
Next up is an amphitheatre
and above that is the stadium.
Both are large structural complexes.
Am choosing which of those photos to post.
Then we have to come back down, at which time we will look at everything from above, instead of from below.
I expect (i.e. hope) to be able to add names to some of the complexes, which are in the photos, just as soon as possible.
For example, "The Odeion" or "the Treasury of Athens", and such like.
This way one can easily find out more by running a query on the internet or by looking in indices of relevant works.
Since returning I have had very little time to rest and heal.
My rib cage is a disaster with pieces moving all over the place, as is the corresponding portion of my back, just opposite the front ribs.
It is most uncomfortable and gives cause for great concern.
Obviously this makes sleeping difficult to impossible.
I have finally learned well how to sleep on my feet.
Only problem is that I wake up falling over.
Not good.
Especially when that is what has caused the initial injury and further exacerbation of it.
Am running on very little sleep
and am of very limited functionality at this time.
But, as they say, "the show must go on".
And so it must.
I will continue to try to do my part.
I am getting ready to turn on the synthesizer/s
and to begin my next round of compositional madness.
I can feel the songs moving around down deep inside of me.
They are not yet screaming to be played,
but they are moving in that direction.
We shall see how that goes.
In the meantime,
giving my love to everybody who matters to me.
w/the most profound love imaginable,
strangely mixed with vitriol and outrage and intense anger
all churning together into one huge hot unholy mass.
