I have been cleaning like a maniac
during the past four days.
Moving lots of boxes of books
and equipment.
All very heavy.
Good workout,
but I have had enough for now.
Am leaving for northern California tomorrow.
Hope to get to sit up
at one of my favorite quiet spots
on Saturday and Sunday afternoons,
with any luck.
Visitors are, of course, welcome.
In the meantime,
I decided to work a little bit more
on choral compositions.
So at 4 a.m. on 1-30-13
I wrote the song entitled 013013a,
and at 2 a.m. this morning on 1-31-13
I wrote the second song entitled 013113a.
I then combined the two together,
using the second of the two
as the introduction to the first of the two,
which is why the dates appear reversed.
I expect to get back
at the beginning of next week
and hope to be able to hit the ground running.
I have not forgotten my promise
to post photos of clean studio.
Something you just will not see very often.
I hope to get around to that
next week, also.
The weather has been beautiful here
during the past three days.
We keep switching back and forth
between winter and spring.
Do not plant your tomatoes just yet.
They will all be killed in one night
sometime in late February
or early March.
A lesson I have had to "learn" several times
(although I just go ahead and plant anyway
and hope for the best = really dumb!)
In the meantime,
may God bless everyone abundantly.
w/love to all

We have had three days
of unexpected rain.
Very nice.
I really do not have anything in particular to say,
at the moment,
as I am just sitting here at 8:45 a.m.
waiting for our local Fry's Electronics store to open
at 10 a.m. so that I may buy a 50' CAT6 cable
for another internet hookup.
Have been cleaning non-stop for past several weeks.
Moving numerous heavy boxes to storage,
seven miles away from here.
Am making a final "heroic" effort
to get my workspace cleaned up
so that I may continue produ... Continue reading...

Finally got 91 of the first 100+ packages
sent out to radio stations
up and down the west coast
and east coast,
this afternoon.
Have been tending to housecleaning
and catch-up matters
during past couple of weeks,
with little or no time left for anything else,
for now.
Can't wait to get back on keyboards,
soon, I hope.
Worked on ALBUMWAV9 last week.
Hope to continue with "mastering"
during next week
= volume levels, song order, fades, etc.
As soon as I finish with these matters
will then post it,
an...

Wow!
While many of you are,
undoubtedly,
transfixed by all of the nonsense
surrounding our pretended elections
and "inauguration"
(ptp, anyone?,
as in "pull the plug", already),
I came in from the beach after sunset
to one of our local grocery markets.
As I looked at the various newpapers
I noticed an article
on the front of today's Los Angeles Times,
telling how an emboldened "president"
wants to become more "confrontational".
Several days ago this same person
was reported to be telling
how he i... Continue reading...

I returned to see "The Hobbit"
for a second time
(in 3D, but of course)
last night.
Having read the book,
after reading Tolkien's trilogy,
many years ago,
when I was about fifteen or sixteen years old,
and having been a Tolkien fan
from that day to this,
(complete with a map of Middle Earth
on my wall,
throughout my teens),
I was listening and watching
more closely than many others
are llkely to have.
This second time I noticed,
much more than I did the first time,
the harsh comments
which were... Continue reading...

Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good
and not evil
all the days of his life.
She seeks wool and flax
and willingly works with her hands
She is like the merchant ships,
she brings her food from afar.
She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
and a portion for her maidservants.
She considers a field and buys it;
From her profits she plants a vineyard.
She... Continue reading...

Moreover, the LORD says:
Because the daughters of Zion
are haughty,
And walk with outstretched necks
And wanton eyes,
Walking and mincing as they go,
Making a jingling with their feet,
Therefore the LORD
will strike with a scab
The crown of the head
of the daughters of Zion,
And the LORD
will uncover their secret parts.
In that day
the LORD will take away the finery;
The jingling anklets,
the scarves,
and the crescents:
the pendants,
the bracelets,
and the veils;
The headdresses,
the leg ornaments,
and the he...

"Wisdom calls aloud outside;
She raises her voice in the open squares.
She cries out in the chief concourses,
At the opening of the gates in the city.
She speaks her words:
How long, you simple ones,
will you love simplicity?
For scorners delight in their scorning,
And fools hate knowledge.
Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
Because I have called
and you have refused,
I have stretched out my hand
and no one regarded,
Because you disdained all my ... Continue reading...

I just lost another very longtime friend.
Same age as me
and going back to 15 years old
when we first met.
Died in his sleep.
That is the seventh or eighth one
to die this way
in last two to three years.
He spoke with his brother,
in the neighboring room,
at bedtime.
Didn't wake up in the morning.
Just like the stuff we always,
primally,
worry about.
Yes, IT IS REAL!
When these things happen,
especially with several in a row,
back to back,
one is required to stop for a few moments
in order to ponder t... Continue reading...

Almost done with another fairly busy week.
Am working on choosing the specific songs
for ALBUMWAV9.
Have it narrowed down to 7 songs
on two albums.
I feel like "something" is missing.
There is one more song,
or maybe two which should be on here.
It is 80 minutes long at this time.
That just seems too short for two albums.
Should be more like 160 minutes, yes?
Yes.
Hmmmmmmmm ----
What to do? what to do?
I am also continuing with the Tahiti trip photos.
There are sixteen chips with about 850 photos per ch... Continue reading...
