8-21-12 HELLO FROM OLYMPIA

August 21, 2012

am in olympia, greece.

this is where olympics were invented.

on very tight schedule.

All is well, except for multiple fractures = ouch  = broken rib/s, left side, broken jawbone, left side, broken right great toe, plus previously broken right little finger; and all of that w/out drugs or alcohol.

no sleep for 4 days, because cannot lay down w/out excruciating pain.

but am hanging in there.

will post more if and when I get a chance.

love you all.

it was my vertigo which caused me to blindly walk off a cliff.

i did not have proper respect.

am designing new protocols, now.

more to come asap.

gotta go.

8-4-12 FULL MOON IN VENICE, TONIGHT?

August 4, 2012

It is 7 a.m. and I am finishing packing camera and sound equipment.

Just for the record I posted chapters 4 and 5 of Animal Farm.

These were recorded in 2007 on equipment which is far inferior to what I use today, thanks to that much of a leap forward in the requisite underlying technologies.

I apologize for the "crudeness".

But, I enjoy listening to them and figure that someone will enjoy these.

Maybe I should re-record them?

When I have time?

Huuuuuhhh?

At any rate, last time I was in Venice, about...

8-3-12 ONE DAY TO GO!

August 3, 2012
It is 4 a.m. Friday.

Have been working, literally, around the clock for the past several months.

During the past several weeks I had to quite dramatically increase output while continuing to work 24/7.

I had to race fast to get out of town on time.

It took two others working nearly full time during the past couple of weeks in order to get everything done on time.

And that's not considering all of the telephone calls and other loose ends that must be wrapped up before leaving town for the better pa...

8-1-12 THREE DAYS FROM VENEZIA

August 1, 2012
It is 6:30 a.m.

I have been working since 4:30 a.m.

Time is running out quickly.

I have to catch a flight on Saturday morning to Venezia.

That is Venice, for you provincial types.

Will stay several days at the world famous
Danielli Hotel.

Venezia is the town of Vivaldi.

The guy who makes me snap way
more hairs on my violin bow than
all of the rest of the composers put together.

Got to see a live performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons and other Italian period pieces in a Palazzo in this town last time I w...

7-31-12 PAUL LEE HAS GONE HOME TO REST

July 31, 2012

I just found out from yesterday's mail
that one of my long time business partners
(about 45 years)
has passed on.

He was in his early 90's,
and had only just recently been forced
to go into a retirement home
by his immediate family
(against my will,
and his,
I should say).

So, I have had limited contact,
during the past two years,
where we used to meet once a month
in Los Angeles,
and have lunch together every month,
for the past 35 years.

He died on,

YOU GUESSED IT,

Friday, July 13, 2012.

He died in his...

7-30-12 CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION!

July 30, 2012
I have been manually incapacitated
for the past three or four weeks
due to a badly broken little finger
on right hand.

I have been barely able to play keyboard,
and that only with a considerable amount of pain.

I will spare you the horrid details
of just how such a terrible thing could happen,
other than to say
that it was done by me to me,
inadvertently.

So, as I have been waiting
for the swelling to go down
I have noticed just how crooked
the first joint now is.

I have wanted to pull it straight...

7-29-12 ON THE BANALITY OF EVIL

July 30, 2012

OBEDIENCE TO AUTHORITY

by Stanley Milgram

This classic work of psychology
amply demonstrates
and documents
"the banality of evil".

It is because it reminds me
of so much which I am currently dealing with
in a number of personal matters,
that I thought I would share it with you.

People are told to shock a man,
who is a volunteer,
but not to go above a certain amount of voltage,
lest it kill or injure the person.

Then in the course of the experiment
they are told to do just that.

7-27-12 POSTED AUDIO RECORDINGS ON NEW AUDIO PAGE

July 28, 2012

I am feeling pretty tired tonight.

Have put on about 1,000 miles of driving
during past week and am feeling it.

Am booked to leave in one week for Aegean Sea region.

Several days in Venice to start,
then throughout Aegean region
and ending in Athens,
where will spend several more days before returning.

For ALL who should be aware! of such things,
Greece, Spain, and Italy will probably bring down
this entire house of cards,
very soon,
by the looks of things.

Plus war brewing bigtime in Syria/Iraq/Ir...

7-23-12 DOPPELGANGER (cont) + HAPPY 6 MONTHS TODAY

July 24, 2012
Now, for a couple of housekeeping details.

I woke up Sunday morning
completely unable to believe
what had just happened to me on Saturday.

What are the odds?

I am in as remote an area as I can get into
without heading into the adjoining mountains.

I have been going to this location very regularly for many years.

I have visited and fed numerous animals
in this area one winter after another,
when there are no tourists and very little food.

This is MY homeland,
where I live and work
and has been so fo...
